Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities


Greeter at Plastics Recycling Drives
S.A.V.E.'s plastics recycling collections are held every other month. We can always use volunteers to be at the site to greet people and answer common questions. Volunteers assist participants in sorting their plastics, answer questions and can help people with limited mobility get their plastics into the correct bins. Staff will be on hand for additional support.


Volunteer on the Business Recycling Route
We can always use a few extra hands to help out on our business recycling route. Volunteers ride along with our driver and help carry out recyclables from local businesses.


Office Volunteer, Environmental Policy
For those interested in environmental policy, we can always use help in the office doing research projects, writing letters and making phone calls.


Year-long Positions through AmeriCorps VISTA


Environmental Policy
This is a full-time position will work on projects like strengthening S.A.V.E.’s community outreach efforts and special events, facilitating energy saving in new and existing buildings and developing efficient water use and accessible transportation policies.


Recycling
We are looking for someone to fill a position that will work to expand community recycling, working closely with local schools. The position will also work on community education efforts with a focus on recycling.
