Board of Directors

 

Tyler Evilsizer, Chairman: Tyler Evilsizer is a Carroll College graduate in International Relations and Political Science, a longtime S.A.V.E. volunteer, and has served as Chairman of the Board since January 2007. When he's not diving into plastic bins or writing policy for S.A.V.E., he spends his day job as Lead Researcher for the National Institute on Money in State Politics (followthemoney.org).

 

Alaina Garcia, Board Member: Alaina will be graduating in May with a degree from Carroll College in Mathematics and a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Montana State University. She was a founding board member of S.A.V.E. and continues to proudly represent the message of S.A.V.E. in Bozeman, Montana. She currently works for the Space and Science Engineering Laboratory and has been assembling solar panels for nano and pico satellites to go to space.

 

 

Kent Schlosser, Board Member: Kent is currently an accountant with Montana State Fund. He holds a bachelors degree in accounting and an MBA from the University of North Dakota. He resides in Helena.

 

 

Aaron Perry, Board Member: With an extensive background in civil engineering and land surveying, experience in planning at the state and local level, a B.A. in finance from Carroll College, Aaron brings a strong, business edge to S.A.V.E. planning and policy. He has worked as an energy trader in La Jolla, CA and is currently working with a developer and financiers to launch a new vehicle to help fund small dynamic companies.

 

 

Caleb Cantwell-Frank, Board Member: Caleb is a Seasonal Wilderness Ranger in the Flathead National Forest and veteran supervising recycler with S.A.V.E. He has a B.A. in Sociology from Carroll College. Caleb created more than 100 custom mugs for the Wild Wild West Marathon in his hometown of Lone Pine, CA using 100% recycled clay.

 

 

Chris Lambert, Board Member: Chris has a B.A. in Political Science and International Relations. He became a board member in January of 2006. He is a long-time volunteer with S.A.V.E. and brings extensive insight of policy and strategy. Chris currently works on the staff of Senator Max Baucus in Washington, D.C.

Jennifer Hill-Hart, Board Member: Jennifer joined S.A.V.E.'s board in May 2007. She has a degree Environmental Studies. After moving to Montana with AmeriCorps, she was impressed with S.A.V.E.'s work in the community: the community plastics drop-off program and the grassroots nature of our Biodiesel Montana outreach program. She is currently a grad student in Missoula, and plans to start law school at the University of Montana.

 

 

Kate Wilson, Secretary: Kate was the editor and producer behind three years of Carroll’s literary magazine Colors, which she has expanded to involve the larger community. She holds a B.A. in Public Relations and Communications (Carroll College 2005). Kate is now the lead assistant to The North Idaho Lakes Commission.

 

 

Leslie McClain, Board Member: Leslie is a Carroll College graduate in Environmental Studies, with an Honors Thesis on urban planning. She worked as the legislative intern for the Montana Environmental Information Center during the 2005 Legislative Session. She is currently S.A.V.E.'s lead grant editor.

 

 

 

 

Staff


 

Matthew Elsaesser, Executive Director: Matthew Elsaesser was born and raised in North Idaho. He moved to Helena to attend Carroll College and has been involved with S.A.V.E. since graduating in 2003. Matt has also served as S.A.V.E.'s lobbyist at the Montana Legislature and is a City Commissioner in Helena.

 

 

Kyle Perkins, Campus Recycling Coordinator: Kyle Perkins attends school at Carroll College and coordinates on campus recycling across campus with support from Carroll College S.A.V.E. Club volunteers and the Carroll College Green Team. He is an avid skier, climber and adventurer and recent led a successful student effort to establish a bouldering cave on campus.

 

 

AmeriCorps Volunteers

 

 

Jen Cullin, Recycling Outreach: Jen is an AmeriCorps VISTA from Pennsylvania who is serving with S.A.V.E. until July 2010. She recently graduated from Susquehanna University with a B.S. in Earth and Environmental Sciences. As a VISTA, her focus is developing sustainable school recycling programs in the Helena area.

 

 

Shelly John, Environmental Policy: Shelly is an AmeriCorps VISTA serving with S.A.V.E. She recently graduated with a B.S. in Environmental Science from The State University of New York at Albany. Shelly's project focuses on environmental policy in Montana.
